Vans SK8-Hi LX MoonEyes

The infamous "moon" logo is now more than a half-century old and is synonymous with the individuality, attitude, and culture of southern California. As a teenager growing up in whittier, California in the 1940´s, Dean Moon´s passion for cars lead him to start the most famous company in hot rodding. In 1966, Paul van Doren started Vans shoe company, known for its in-store costomization program and its gum rubber waffle outsole. Vans emerged as a symbol of authenticity, performance, and originality in the growing skateboard counter culture. In the 1970´s Mooneyes and Vans came together to produce the first collaboration between these two iconic companys.
These shoes pay tribute to the unique spirit of originality and dedication that both Mooneyes and Vans came from and continue to support.
